Why Women March in January

With Donald Trump winning the Presidential election in the US. The infamous reality TV and business owner had everyone questioning "who voted for who?", as the most the nation seemed shocked at the poll results. With the new Presidential elect's famous quotes being things such as "grab her by the p****" and several alleged cases showing Trump to have sexually harassed/ be sexist, it's no wonder women feel threatened. Many feel that if people feel comfortable voting for someone know to treat women badly, then they wouldn't have a problem treating women badly themselves. It doesn't help a report was released by the national Violence Policy Center, over 1,600 women die annually from abuse by men; those are only the recorded reports. There's estimated to be hundreds, or thousands more.
The third wave of feminism, beginning around 2000, was already building tension, but Trump's win broke down a wall (partial pun intention)

This march was in combat against the bombings, the harassment, the inequality, the injustice, the miseducation, the rapes, and the ownership women endure.
"You do not own women, You do not control women, You do not restrain women, And you most certainly will not kill women." There's a notion often shared that, women can vote, women can get jobs, women can do so much, so obviously they are equal. "The glass ceiling isn't real. Feminism is a bunch of bullshit." Stated a classmate. If you pictured this individual as a young, white, cis-male, you would be very correct. Apparently the want to have complete control over our body, our mind, and our futures while maintaining complete equality and justice at the same level as our male counterparts makes us needy and we are "simply nagging". I do not blame this boy for his ignorance, however. Instead, I ask him to say that to his mom, his grandma, and a sister if he has one, and tell me their responses. He grew up in circumstances in which he wouldn't possibly know firsthand what women endure. The same most likely applies to Trump. How could they know any better?
Thus, spawned the marches. Ignorant individuals don't want to believe one person accounts, then we give them millions of accounts, internationally, all at once. Do they know better now?
